DVD - About Tam O' Shanter

Bruce Fummey was born in Perth, Scotland. However he didn’t go to his first Burns supper until he was 26 and didn’t start stand up comedy till later still. His second offering at the Edinburgh Fringe festival combined his crass, but self-effacing style of comedy with his love of Robert Burns. The resulting show ‘About Tam O’ Shanter’ received popular and critical acclaim as it sold out at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe. A tour of Scotland and Ireland followed. This show was filmed in his home town of Perth in January 2007.

The show gives an hilarious background to Robert Burns’s famous narrative topped off with the finest performance of the poem you are likely to see.
